This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee the technical elements for a designated group of key regional channel partners in the German postal code areas 4/5.
• Identify the technical requirements of partners and align them with Sophos solutions.
• Ensure successful product trials and evaluations.
• Drive business growth through technical sales initiatives.
• Support the sales team by clarifying complex subjects to prospects and persuading them to choose Sophos solutions.
• Aid partner and customer technical personnel in solution design and architecture, including sizing and resilience considerations.
• Conduct demonstrations, product showcases, and company briefings for partners, sales teams, and larger groups.
• Provide training to larger audiences.
• Assess sales opportunities and evaluate requirements and specifications in collaboration with technical staff.
• Gather and consolidate partner feedback for other departments, such as Product Management.
• Respond to partner inquiries and requirements.
• Assist with and oversee regular technical evaluations alongside partners.
• Initial professional experience as a Sales Engineer.
• Extensive technical knowledge in enterprise architecture components, including network design, virtualization, directory services, firewalls, and APIs.
• In-depth technical knowledge of firewall and network products.
• Technical expertise in endpoint products and MDR/SOC services.
• Familiarity with MSP business models, including RMM/PSA platforms and multi-tenant management.
• Understanding of public cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Experience in working with and supporting channel partners.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the capability to prepare and deliver impactful technical presentations to both technical and non-technical management audiences independently.
• Proficient in connecting product features to business benefits and requirements.
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and comprehend technical needs/fit, pain points, and competitive threats.
• Proficient communication skills in both German and English, written and verbal, at Level C1.
• A valid driving license is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally abroad for conferences and training.
• Legal authorization to work in Germany without the need for employer sponsorship.
