This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct outside sales focused on electrical and controls engineering along with project management services.
• Market solution repair services and new equipment to end users, contractors, OEMs, and engineering firms.
• Drive all sales initiatives within the assigned territory, aiming for both organic growth with existing clients and the acquisition of new customers to achieve a $50M annual sales target.
• Engage in direct sales and business development activities to expand and retain business, striving to meet or surpass sales objectives.
• Formulate the company's sales strategy for the engineering and controls sector.
• Lead a team of four business development managers.
• Assist in preparing estimates, sales proposals, and presentations.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with assigned accounts and recognize changes and opportunities within those accounts.
• Participate in marketing initiatives, including road shows, national conferences, trade shows, sales training, and industry organizations.
• Provide support for customer accounts via sales, purchase orders, terms and conditions, and customer relations.
• Conduct job walks and act as the primary point of contact between sales and production to assess opportunities.
• Facilitate lunch-and-learns and spearhead discussions with customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to improve the customer purchasing experience.
• Travel domestically about 50% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in industrial service sales related to engineering consulting and project management services.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI), industrial networks, low- and medium-voltage systems, electrical construction work packages, commissioning/start-ups, and power systems including arc flash and coordination.
• Over 3 years of experience in a relevant industry.
• High-energy, goal-oriented team player with exceptional internal and external communication, forecasting, and solution-selling capabilities.
• Preferred knowledge of industry sectors such as agri-food, power generation, oil/gas, mining, and petrochemicals.
• Sales and/or production experience in construction, outages, and project management is preferred.
• Experience with consultative engineering, detailed engineering and design, NERC program management, and testing services.
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically 50% of the time.
