This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Implement the comprehensive sales strategy for Ford Energy’s DC-block commercial systems.
• Develop and oversee a strong sales pipeline that aligns with corporate revenue objectives and manufacturing capabilities.
• Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract execution utilizing CRM tools.
• Provide precise forecasting and market demand insights to leadership.
• Modify and implement go-to-market strategies for various regions and customer segments.
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for significant utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and hyper-scalers in AI data centers.
• Identify customer challenges, uptime requirements, power density needs, and ESG objectives to create tailored solutions.
• Oversee the customer experience through commissioning and transition to Service and Operations teams.
• Lead negotiations for Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs).
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Treasury to structure commercial agreements.
• Partner with EPC providers and integrators to ensure project execution and commercial alignment.
• Conduct technical deep-dives that integrate Ford Energy hardware and EMS into grid architectures.
• Shape the product roadmap by incorporating market feedback and customer needs.
• Offer expertise in DC/AC power conversion, thermal management, and battery degradation to enhance customer TCO.
• Stay informed on IRA incentives, FERC rulings, and shifts in ISO/RTO markets.
• Navigate Made in America requirements and regional interconnection standards.
• Maintain competitive intelligence regarding the global BESS landscape.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or business.
• Over 8 years of sales experience.
• More than 4 years of experience in the Battery Energy Storage (BESS) or Renewable Energy domain.
• Demonstrated success in high-value industrial sales or commercial account management in the energy sector.
• Strong persuasive communication abilities with clear written and verbal skills.
• Capacity to collaborate cross-culturally with international colleagues.
• In-depth knowledge of energy storage product quoting, negotiation tactics, and customary and market terms and conditions.
• Strong understanding of DC/AC power conversion.
• Familiarity with thermal management in BESS.
• Basic knowledge of LFP battery chemistry.
• Understanding of energy management software (EMS).
• Proven track record of achieving results outside a conventional office setting.
• Moderate domestic travel and occasional visits to Dearborn, MI, and the Kentucky factory are required.
