This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct research on municipalities and government entities throughout Canada and the United States to uncover new opportunities.
• Engage with individuals influencing planning, building, permitting, technology, and digital transformation in urban settings.
• Establish connections through various channels including phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and targeted outbound campaigns.
• Initiate informed discussions regarding municipal challenges and technological solutions.
• Assess opportunities and collaborate with Regional Sales Directors to advance them.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with prospective customers through extended government procurement cycles.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to execute targeted campaigns, events, and market initiatives.
• Investigate new regions, government priorities, and emerging opportunities within the GovTech sector.
• Maintain a disciplined approach to CRM, pipeline, and activity management.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of Archistar's AI PreCheck technology and articulate its unique features.
• Suggest innovative methods to engage and connect with customers.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales development, business development, or a comparable commercial role, preferably in GovTech or public-sector technology.
• Proven experience engaging with government or municipal clients and a solid understanding of public sector operations.
• Familiarity with SaaS, enterprise technology, civic technology, or digital government solutions.
• Insight into government sales cycles, key stakeholders, and procurement processes.
• Demonstrated experience in prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
• Confidence in communicating with senior and operational government stakeholders via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to transform prospective customer information into pertinent discussions.
• Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding activity, pipeline, or opportunity targets.
• Background in permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology, or municipal software is particularly advantageous.
• Capability to submit a resume along with a brief cover letter.
• Experience within the GovTech or public-sector technology sector is a plus.
