This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Cultivate a strong foundational understanding of the sales role at Wells Enterprises.
• Oversee a sales territory that includes Chain Grocery Stores, Walmart locations, and Independent Stores.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call frequency, daily calls, and product displays.
• Carry out merchandising tasks and fulfill store-call obligations, which encompass verifying pricing and distribution, scanning for out-of-stocks and low inventory, restocking inventory, completing out-of-stock documentation, reviewing promotions, documenting store insights, securing additional displays, and organizing remaining products.
• Utilize the Store Call Database (SCDB) and other tools for effective tracking and reporting.
• Compile district reports, including store audits, out-of-stock reports, and expense reports.
• Build customer relationships through regular visits to stores and engagement with key store personnel.
• Address and follow up on issues and discrepancies as they arise.
• Gain exposure to and intern alongside Business Development Managers, Sales Representatives II, and other sales support roles.
• Observe account calls and assist with the preparation, execution, and follow-up of these calls.
• Engage in corporate and functional training aimed at enhancing skills development.
• Navigate through rotations within the Sales organization, including Category Management/Sales Analytics and potentially Business Development/Account Sales.
• Report directly to the Region Manager with no direct or indirect reports.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Coursework in analytics is preferred.
• 1-2 years of sales and analytical experience is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, follow-through, business acumen, analytical skills, curiosity, decision-making, customer service, attention to detail, professionalism, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capacity to work independently; must be a self-starter and self-motivated.
• Willingness to relocate multiple times as needed.
• Ability to think quickly on one's feet.
• Strong motivation to progress within the company.
