This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Foster relationships with both new and existing customers to promote the company's products and services.
• Sustain and enhance sales for amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning, FF&E, and MRO products.
• Identify and maintain new sales opportunities within both prospective and existing accounts.
• Conduct sales calls and presentations to nurture customer relationships and boost sales and category penetration.
• Employ consultative selling techniques, product knowledge, ROI, Phocas, GForce, Salesforce.com, and sales training resources to pinpoint prospects and market growth possibilities.
• Oversee assigned accounts and implement corrective actions to enhance and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Consult with accounts regarding products, services, changes within the company, pricing, and new opportunities.
• Alert management when accounts are at risk or when issues remain unresolved.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure prompt invoice payments.
• Coordinate with internal departments to service customers and communicate any product and business changes.
• Assist with the setup of new accounts, customer applications, order guides, pricing, schedules, and files.
• Project sales results and trends for designated territories and accounts.
• Travel for customer appointments, training sessions, staff meetings, company events, and industry or vendor trade shows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success and notable accomplishments.
• Experience in hospitality or supply/distribution sales is preferred.
• Background in relationship sales, managing new and existing customer opportunities, and up-selling is preferred.
• Experience with trip planning, territory routing, and account prioritization is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and professional interaction skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficient in in-person presentations, negotiations, and closing techniques.
• Familiarity with general finance concepts is required.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet navigation.
• Acquaintance with analytical software tools and CRM systems.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and provide proof of current automobile insurance coverage.
• For remote work, a reliable internet connection, necessary software, and a dedicated workspace are required.
