This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Play a crucial role in the success of IVP book lines and collaborate with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship by driving sales and managing key accounts for academic and/or special market sales and publishing projects.
• Develop, oversee, and expand relationships with a designated portfolio of accounts.
• Enhance IVP’s current customer base while identifying, pursuing, and evaluating new leads within assigned markets.
• Navigate existing and new business through the sales process to increase IVP revenue.
• Maintain consistent outreach through phone calls, video conferencing, and various communication methods.
• Market IVP frontlist and backlist resources to designated accounts.
• Work collaboratively with accounts to devise innovative solutions utilizing internal marketing and publicity resources.
• Contribute to strategic planning with marketing, publicity, design, editorial, and other teams to successfully launch each season's offerings.
• Travel to conferences and/or account visits as necessary.
• Participate in the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years and the National Staff Conference every three years as scheduled.
• Be a growing disciple of Jesus Christ and support InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith.
• A minimum of two years of relevant and successful sales experience is required.
• Relevant higher education may mitigate the experience required; while a bachelor’s degree is typical for this role, it is not explicitly mandatory.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Interest in and knowledge of thoughtful Christian literature.
• Familiarity with churches, ministries, and special market sales is advantageous.
• Self-driven with excellent organizational capabilities.
• Ability to maintain comprehensive knowledge of InterVarsity Press products, services, policies, programs, and procedures.
• Discretion with confidential information is essential.
• Proficient computer skills and a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability and commitment to thrive in a diverse team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15% for conferences and sales meetings as necessary.
• Availability to attend the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years and the National Staff Conference every three years.
