This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive sales and manage key accounts for academic and/or special market sales.
• Contribute to the success of IVP book lines and publishing efforts.
• Initiate, manage, and expand relationships with a portfolio of accounts.
• Strengthen IVP's existing customer base and seek new leads within assigned markets.
• Guide both existing and new business through the sales process to enhance IVP revenue.
• Maintain consistent outreach through phone, video calls, and other communication methods.
• Sell IVP frontlist and backlist resources to assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with accounts to develop creative solutions using internal marketing and publicity assets.
• Contribute to seasonal strategy plans in conjunction with marketing, publicity, design, editorial, and other teams.
• Travel to conferences and/or account visits as necessary.
• Attend the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years and the National Staff Conference every three years, as required.
• Perform all other duties as needed.
• A minimum of two years of relevant and successful sales experience.
• Typically holds a bachelor’s degree; relevant higher education may lessen the experience requirement.
• Affirmation of InterVarsity's Statement of Faith is essential.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and interest in thoughtful Christian literature.
• Familiarity with churches, ministries, and special market sales is advantageous.
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain comprehensive knowledge of InterVarsity Press products, services, policies, programs, and procedures.
• Discretion with confidential information is required.
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability and commitment to working in a diverse team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15% for conferences and sales appointments as necessary.
• Flexibility to attend the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years and the National Staff Conference every three years.
