This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of business performance and revenue enhancement within a designated geographic area.

• Create and implement a Territory Growth Plan aimed at customer acquisition, account growth, and market development.

• Identify, qualify, and chase new business opportunities across various industries and account types.

• Research regional investment trends, emerging technologies, competitive activities, and customer initiatives.

• Formulate territory strategies that balance the acquisition of new customers with the expansion of existing accounts.

• Develop and sustain a robust sales pipeline to ensure long-term growth and achievement of quotas.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with technical engineers, program leaders, business stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.

• Facilitate customer discovery discussions to comprehend technical challenges, business goals, and success metrics.

• Provide technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions.

• Assist customers in evaluating, selecting, and adopting NI solutions.

• Propel customer success from initial engagement to long-term account development.

• Collaborate with Applications Engineers, Business Unit leaders, Marketing, Channel teams, Services, and Customer Support.

• Utilize distribution, reseller, and solution integration partners effectively.

• Enhance NI's partner ecosystem within the territory.

• Establish and reinforce NI's presence through customer engagement, events, industry activities, and technical communities.

• Connect with academic institutions, research organizations, and educational programs.

• Support local user groups, industry events, and community initiatives.

• Maintain precise sales forecasts, opportunity plans, and territory reports.

• Leverage CRM tools to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and document opportunities.

• Provide regular updates and insights to support business planning and decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in technical sales, account management, applications engineering, engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.

• Capability to engage in technical discussions with engineering and business stakeholders.

• Proficiency in independently delivering product demonstrations and solution presentations.

• Experience managing opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle.

• Demonstrated ability to identify, prospect, and cultivate new customer relationships and business opportunities through proactive territory planning and customer engagement.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms to manage opportunities and customer interactions.

• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

• Valid driver's license and capability to transport, set up, and demonstrate equipment as required.

• Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) will be considered.

• Preferred: Experience in test and measurement, automation, instrumentation, industrial technology, semiconductor, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, research, or related sectors.

• Preferred: Background as an Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Account Manager, or similar position.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with distributors, resellers, or solution integration partners.

• Preferred: Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.

• Preferred: Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

• Preferred: Engagement with academic, research, or technical communities.
