This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.
• Attain technical expertise in OMICRON products and solutions.
• Build, cultivate, and maintain customer relationships within assigned accounts and segments.
• Organize customer visits and related activities.
• Deliver presentations and showcase products, technologies, and testing methodologies.
• Provide support to customers after the sale.
• Engage in business development, market analysis, and sales forecasting.
• Document and manage customer meetings, leads, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system.
• Liaise with OMICRON Sales managers and stakeholders, sharing customer and market insights, and providing status updates during team meetings.
• Organize promotional initiatives and take part in conferences, user meetings, seminars, and local exhibitions.
• Execute assigned responsibilities and assist with additional initiatives and tasks as needed.
• Technical understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, along with related equipment.
• Proficient knowledge of testing methodologies and maintenance practices for dependable power systems.
• A testing background is preferred.
• Capability to present products, technologies, and testing methodologies to both technical and executive audiences.
• Competence in conducting on-site product demonstrations.
• Strong business ethics and personal integrity.
• Goal-oriented and collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with business processes of electric power companies, government agencies, manufacturers, and industrial consumers within the North American market.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional skills in writing, speaking, presenting, and negotiating.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%; international travel may also be necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in power systems, particularly in power system protection or high-voltage equipment.
• At least 1 year of sales experience in selling testing equipment, instrumentation, or apparatus for the electric power industry.
• Involvement in international, national, regional, and local conferences, exhibitions, or seminars.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent certification from electronic or electrical technical education, relevant work experience, or military service.
