This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a representative of Lely within its premium distribution channel to farmers.
• Foster a profitable, enjoyable, and sustainable future in agriculture while prioritizing customer satisfaction and efficiency.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and deliver high-quality service and guidance.
• Sell and advocate for Lely’s comprehensive solutions, products, and services.
• Engage and connect with prospective future customers in the designated territory.
• Regularly visit customers to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
• Inform potential clients about new developments, products, and enhancements.
• Prepare customer quotes, establish project pricing, and negotiate costs, timelines, and quantities.
• Take part in and support marketing initiatives, bus tours, open houses, Learn with Lely events, trade shows, and communication activities via email, mail, and phone.
• Generate new sales leads through cold calling, acquisition, online efforts, farm visits, and follow-up on databases.
• Maintain an active presence in the field, traveling within the assigned territory approximately 3–4 days a week.
• Develop and manage the sales funnel utilizing Lely’s CRM tool.
• Ensure CRM records and sales/project files are current.
• Maintain and report an accurate schedule for producer visits.
• Monitor customer segmentation, market trends, competitors’ actions, and field campaigns.
• Collaborate on the annual sales strategy and objectives, ensuring sales targets are met.
• Work together with the Lely Center Monroe Manager and Project Lead to ensure a seamless and accurate customer transition post-sale.
• Increase the adoption and market share of Lely’s complete product range and services, enhancing the use of robotics.
• Build and nurture a dedicated team equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to serve as a professional and sustainable partner for farmers.
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business management, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in business management, with a focus on sales and/or marketing, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Familiarity with the dairy industry.
• Having a strong dairy network will be considered an advantage.
• Proficient in computers, PC networking, and business communications.
• A team-oriented individual who fosters a supportive team culture.
• Attention to detail to ensure each sale is executed as a successful project.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to various audiences.
• Competent in focused planning, prioritization, and time management.
• A trusted advisor, ensuring excellent customer support, satisfaction, and responsiveness.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Capable of collaborating, presenting information, answering questions, and providing assistance to customers, colleagues, and a diverse range of dairy professionals.
• Company vehicle provided.
• Overnight travel is limited to occasional training events.
