Sales Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of Neighborhood Pet and Farm & Feed accounts

• Enhance assortment and placement to boost sales velocity

• Assist in new store acquisition and expansion initiatives

• Establish relationships with store managers, regional contacts, and distributor partners

• Educate distributor representatives and store teams on Freshpet products and merchandising standards

• Conduct audits for planogram compliance, stock levels, and chiller conditions

• Address out-of-stocks, voids, and merchandising issues

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to synchronize retail strategies and execution

• Monitor distribution, velocity, and in-stock KPIs using Nielsen, Power BI, and internal reports

• Provide field insights to enhance retail conditions, processes, and performance

• Propel execution and sales growth for Neighborhood Pet, Farm & Feed, and distributor training businesses

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Over 5 years of experience in large CPG; experience in the natural or pet channel is highly preferred

• Approximately 50–70% national travel with substantial time spent in the field

• Strong work ethic and a hands-on, proactive approach

• Capability to work independently

• Ability to quickly establish relationships and communicate effectively at both store and distributor levels

• Basic analytical abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with Nielsen, Salesforce, or Power BI

• High level of ownership and accountability

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
