Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Director of Fulfillment General Manager.

• Lead and manage safety, health, and workers' compensation initiatives throughout the SupplyHouse fulfillment network.

• Develop and execute company-wide safety programs, policies, and training across all fulfillment centers, including the driver safety program.

• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.

• Foster a proactive safety culture through education, engagement, and accountability.

• Collaborate with operations and the Product Catalog Team to guarantee proper handling and storage of ORM-D and hazardous materials.

• Work alongside the Safety Team to identify workplace hazards, assist in root-cause investigations, and suggest corrective actions.

• Oversee the management of workers' compensation claims, including handling, reporting, and coordination with carriers.

• Analyze claim data and trends on a quarterly basis and present findings on risks and opportunities to Senior Leadership.

• Support case managers and serve as an escalation point for complex claims.

• Collaborate with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders during renewal cycles.

• Ensure that fulfillment operations comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations.

• Partner with HR teams to maintain and update compliance documentation and reporting standards.

• Assist with escalated investigations into safety incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

• Directly manage Safety Supervisors at each fulfillment location.

• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among safety teams across sites.

• Travel to fulfillment center locations approximately 40% of the year.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in safety, compliance, or risk management within a multi-site fulfillment or logistics environment.

• Current certifications in OSHA, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).

• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and best practices in safety.

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management abilities.

• Proven leadership experience in managing distributed teams.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism.

• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment center environment.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

• Willingness to travel to fulfillment center locations around 40% of the year.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
