This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide strategic oversight and technical guidance for first-party property claims, which include accelerated, large, and/or high-exposure losses.
β’ Monitor and oversee the performance of third-party administrators (TPA), including conducting audits, creating performance scorecards, handling escalations, and ensuring adherence to processes.
β’ Assist adjusters and partners with coverage analysis, determination, subrogation, and resolution strategies.
β’ Refine and uphold best practices for reserves, authority levels, and resolution thresholds.
β’ Collaborate with legal partners on strategies, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and litigation management.
β’ Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing claims workflows, quality assurance programs, and performance analytics.
β’ Support both internal and external reporting on trends, monitoring large losses, and tracking exposures.
β’ Provide insights on claims to leadership, Product, and Underwriting teams to enhance risk selection, policy language, and endorsement strategies.
β’ Identify trends in jurisdictional risks, legal/regulatory developments, and case law that impact claim outcomes.
β’ Contribute to enterprise risk management practices.
β’ Monitor trends in file handling, ensure compliance with resolution strategies, and participate in governance sessions and training reviews.
β’ Manage and facilitate the adjusting of commercial claims, including large, complex, and high-volume losses.
β’ Supervise adjusters, TPAs, and vendors to ensure adherence to best practices.
β’ Track, report on, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), quality, and compliance against internal standards.
β’ Lead the resolution of complex coverage issues and coordinate with legal counsel.
β’ Collaborate with Underwriting and Product teams on risk and form strategies.
β’ Oversee catastrophe (CAT) response efforts and coordinate with field vendors.
β’ Drive strategies related to subrogation and/or risk transfer.
β’ Identify trends, participate in quality assurance reviews, and support training initiatives.
β’ Provide reporting and relevant information to senior management.
β’ 7+ years of experience in subject matter-specific claims within a desk adjusting environment (MGA, insurer, or TPA).
β’ Proven experience managing desk adjusting and property claims teams.
β’ Experience in managing a team or directly handling field adjusting and property claims teams/vendors.
β’ Demonstrated success in managing TPAs, legal counsel, and claims vendors.
β’ Advanced understanding of property coverage forms, claim management strategies, and jurisdictional specifics.
β’ Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the capability to influence across various functions.
β’ Proficient in claims system tools, diary management, and performance tracking in a remote-first setting.
β’ Must possess authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
β’ A college degree is preferred.
β’ Insurance designations are preferred.
β’ Bilingual abilities are preferred (Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Arabic, etc.).
