
RVP, Field Sales – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Drive the sales organization initiatives throughout the expansive Public Sector market, which includes Federal, State & Local Governments, Higher Education, K-12 (SLED), and significant Systems Integrators/Public Sector Partners.
• Establish and implement a strategic vision aimed at accelerating both short-term and long-term subscription revenue growth across government jurisdictions and public institutions.
• Lead the Public Sector sales team to enhance revenue growth and market penetration within federal and SLED accounts.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive public sector go-to-market strategy utilizing Saviynt’s compliance-certified portfolio, incorporating FedRAMP and StateRAMP frameworks.
• Manage the customer lifecycle from initial procurement engagement to contract award and long-term renewal.
• Foster relationships with public sector procurement leaders, prime contractors, and ecosystem partners.
• Create disciplined, metric-driven, and repeatable sales processes.
• Implement scalable infrastructure that supports ambitious revenue growth targets exceeding $5M ARR.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Sales Directors.
• Supervise team structure, performance management, territory planning, professional development, and succession planning.
• Synchronize efforts between sales, marketing, product management, and customer success on competitive positioning, brand awareness, and public sector procurement execution.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in enterprise software sales within the Public Sector market (Federal, State, Local, and/or Education).
• Proven success in building and scaling a sales force to achieve $10M+ ARR.
• In-depth understanding of public sector procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and government purchasing behaviors.
• Capability to develop innovative go-to-market models and engage hands-on in the field when necessary.
• Demonstrated history of building, inspiring, and retaining top-tier sales teams through structured, repeatable sales methodologies.
• Skillful in bridging gaps between internal teams and external channel partners.
• Outstanding executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Compliance with Saviynt’s information security and privacy policies and procedures, including annual security training.
