Ruby on Rails Developer – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain scalable, reliable RESTful APIs utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Engage in the full development lifecycle: architecture, coding, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring in production.

• Advance the monolithic core and collaborate with microservices and partner integrations, including ERPs, payment gateways, and external platforms.

• Ensure code quality through code reviews, adherence to Clean Code practices, SOLID principles, and team standards.

• Track and enhance performance through APM, resource optimization, and query analysis and enhancement.

• Collaborate within cross-functional squads using an agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban), working closely with engineering and product teams.

• Manage interactions involving TypeScript and mobile teams, maintaining a holistic systems-level viewpoint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated mid-level expertise in Ruby on Rails.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs (design, documentation, and utilization).

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling techniques.

• Proficient in using Git/GitHub.

• Solid knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as RSpec, along with an understanding of unit, integration, and black-box testing.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, specifically AWS.

• Ownership mindset: demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and a dedication to delivering value with technical accountability.

• Preferred qualifications: experience with microservices architecture and messaging (AWS SNS/SQS); Docker and Kubernetes; NoSQL databases including Redis, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB; CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD.

• Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous, but not mandatory.
