Robotics Maintenance & Field Service Technician II/III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement new robotic systems at client locations, which includes installation, commissioning, validation, and handover to customers.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on autonomous robotic systems.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues.

• Carry out repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and modifications in the field.

• Assist customers during ramp-up periods and ensure operational readiness after deployment.

• Collaborate directly with clients to enhance uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Record failures, gather field data, and aid in root cause analysis investigations.

• Work alongside the Engineering team to boost product reliability and ease of service.

• Create maintenance procedures, service standards, troubleshooting manuals, and best practice guidelines.

• Assist in product validation, pilot deployments, and introductions of new products.

• Travel extensively across the United States for deployments, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergency service tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.

• Strong mechanical skills and practical problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to identify electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related problems.

• Familiarity with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, conveyors, robotics, industrial automation, CNC machinery, AGVs, AMRs, or similar systems.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic instruments.

• Excellent communication abilities and professionalism in customer interactions.

• Capability to work autonomously and take initiative in problem-solving.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

• Approximately 75% travel required across the United States.

• Experience in robotics or automation is a plus.

• Field service experience is advantageous.

• Experience in PLC troubleshooting is beneficial.

• Familiarity with networking or Linux is a plus.

• Experience with ROS is a bonus.

• Experience in a startup or high-growth company is a plus.

• Technical background in the military is a bonus.

• Experience in fabrication, machining, welding, or 3D printing is a plus.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
