RN, Telephonic Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with injured employees, employers, and healthcare providers to formulate case management strategies.

• Support medical recovery and ensure a successful return to work by advocating, communicating, and coordinating medical services.

• Utilize medical, clinical, or rehabilitation expertise to manage complex medical cases, treatment planning, and recovery processes.

• Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments via telephone.

• Assess injuries, medical treatments, psychosocial needs, cultural contexts, and support systems.

• Establish and nurture relationships with claims examiners, clients, injured workers, attorneys, and supervisors.

• Identify issues related to delayed recovery and return-to-work, and devise solutions.

• Negotiate treatment plans and disability durations with providers, adhering to medical and disability duration guidelines.

• Recognize opportunities to accelerate care for cost management and timely medical recovery.

• Suggest alternative clinical resources to facilitate claim resolution.

• Uphold client privacy and confidentiality while promoting client safety and advocacy.

• Comply with ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Valid unrestricted RN license(s) in a U.S. state or territory is mandatory.

• Compact license is required.

• A minimum of 1.5 years of prior experience in workers' compensation is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience is preferred.

• Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty is highly desirable.

• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking capabilities.

• Exceptional judgment, problem-solving, troubleshooting, analysis, and discretion skills.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient keyboarding skills.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
