RN – Phone Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Coordinate patient care and perform triage

• Collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and support staff

• Engage with patient referral sources

• Organize appointments and manage transitions of care

• Educate patients about complex health conditions

• Create and execute personalized health plans in partnership with patients, families, and providers

• Float to various IMSL clinics as required

• Gather and document patient assessment information

• Develop, assess, and revise patient Plans of Care

• Administer medications in accordance with departmental standards and the Nurse Practice Act

• Ensure care aligns with principles of patient- and family-centered care, practice standards, and regulatory guidelines

• Promote evidence-based nursing practices

• Provide education to patients and families, along with discharge planning

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and stakeholders

• Record care activities in the medical record

• Report discrepancies in care, systems, and processes

• Participate in staff recruitment and retention efforts

• Facilitate adherence to evidence-based nursing practice standards in compliance with ANA guidelines

• Execute additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing

• Active RN License

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse

• Capability to function as a charge nurse

• Proficient in point-of-care testing, blood specimen collection, and laboratory preparation

• BLS (CPR) Certification is preferred

• Leadership experience is preferred

• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States from the first day of employment

• Mandatory pre-employment screenings: Adult Maltreatment, Annual TB Screening, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, Sex Offender Registry, and Substance Abuse Testing
