Risk Management Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned risk and claims support initiatives

• Mentor team members and assist in managing the risk profile and loss performance of insured clients

• Track insured risk performance, operational modifications, claims activity, and loss trends throughout the policy duration

• Assess changes in exposure, adverse patterns, guideline issues, and unresolved corrective measures

• Decide on and execute appropriate responses within assigned authority

• Create and interpret risk summaries and reports that bolster underwriting and risk management decisions

• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, agents, insured parties, carriers, and service partners

• Address issues and communicate necessary corrective actions

• Make decisions regarding noncompliance, corrective actions, and policy cancellations within designated authority

• Direct the priorities, assignments, and daily tasks of the designated Risk/Claims Support team members

• Offer training, quality reviews, and performance feedback

• Provide leadership with insights on team performance and staffing requirements

• Identify trends across the business portfolio

• Implement or suggest risk mitigation strategies and process enhancements

• Conduct regular computer and telephone tasks, review detailed records, and work collaboratively with internal and external partners

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in commercial insurance, transportation, risk management, claims, underwriting, or a related area

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience

• A high school diploma or GED; education and experience in insurance, business, risk management, or a related field is essential

• Strong judgment, communication, organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail

• Capability to manage competing priorities

• Ability to maintain precise documentation

• Capacity to handle confidential information responsibly

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Willingness to learn about insurance, policy administration, underwriting, claims, reporting, and carrier systems

• Availability during standard business hours, with occasional additional hours based on business requirements
