This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +9 more states.
• Manage assigned enterprise risk governance programs and strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders while providing governance, program management, and decision-support expertise to the Risk Leadership Team.
• Uphold the enterprise risk governance framework, which includes committee structures, charters, decision authorities, escalation pathways, and reporting standards.
• Organize risk committee calendars, agendas, meeting materials, decisions, minutes, action items, and follow-up activities.
• Oversee reporting on strategic initiatives, audit and regulatory matters, issues, risk trends, and matters needing executive or Board oversight.
• Create and execute quality reviews of risk materials for executive and Board levels.
• Coordinate the preparation, validation, approval, and submission of designated regulatory risk reports.
• Manage the risk policy governance process, covering review cycles, approvals, exceptions, change management, and escalation of overdue items.
• Keep examination-ready records of policy decisions, approvals, exceptions, and supporting documentation.
• Direct the Bank's Issues Management Program, which includes governance standards, lifecycle requirements, reporting, escalation, system administration, and effectiveness monitoring.
• Act as the business owner for the Bank's GRC platform, overseeing requirements, governance standards, priorities, access, data quality, and change management.
• Collaborate with Technology, vendors, and stakeholders on system enhancements, testing, implementation, support, and data integrity.
• Lead assigned risk initiatives by defining scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, decision points, and implementation strategies.
• Design and provide training, communications, and change management support.
• Establish and track metrics for evaluating program performance, identifying trends, supporting decisions, and driving corrective actions.
• Assess governance programs against requirements, metrics, stakeholder feedback, regulatory expectations, and industry practices, and suggest enhancements.
• Engage in employee selection, evaluation, development, promotion, and termination as necessary.
• Mentor employees to foster the development of role-specific skills.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.
• 7-9 years of pertinent experience in financial services, enterprise risk management, compliance, audit, governance, program management, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in managing or supporting risk governance programs, including policy governance, issues management, risk taxonomy, committee governance, and executive- and Board-level reporting is essential.
• Experience in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives related to governance, process design, technology implementation, change management, or regulatory requirements is a must.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk management, the Three Lines Model, policy governance, issues management, risk taxonomy, committee governance, and executive and Board reporting is necessary.
• Capability to interpret complex regulatory, governance, technical, and business documents along with regulatory expectations.
• Proficient in translating regulatory, technical, governance, and process requirements into actionable business needs.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills for assessing risk data, trends, and program performance.
• Excellent executive communication, technical writing, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, collaboration tools, data visualization tools, workflow solutions, and GRC platforms is necessary.
• Some travel may be required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is expected.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in administering, implementing, or serving as the business owner for a GRC platform, including Archer, is preferred.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CERP, CRISC, CRCM, PMP, or comparable credentials are preferred.
• Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
