Behavioral Health Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute long-term strategies for behavioral health programs.

• Oversee projects and initiatives aimed at integrating behavioral health internally and externally.

• Lead and facilitate clinical training programs in behavioral health for associates and providers.

• Support the development of behavioral health programs and services, including policies, procedures, clinical criteria, workflows, documentation, and product innovation.

• Spearhead the development and integration of behavioral health and behavioral health home programs.

• Propel cross-functional initiatives to enhance the quality of behavioral health products.

• Utilize data to identify and manage changes for performance enhancement.

• Communicate and educate associates regarding the behavioral health strategy.

• Create clinical educational materials and deliver behavioral health training to providers.

• Foster and strengthen relationships with behavioral health homes, community mental health centers, hospitals, individual providers, and participating organizations.

• Design, develop, and implement clinical training in behavioral health for associates and providers.

• Collaborate with utilization, case, and disease management teams to operationalize initiatives for integrating behavioral and physical health.

• Inform health plan leadership and cross-functional staff about behavioral health and integration strategies.

• Generate presentations and training content for providers and associates.

• Manage the development of behavioral health policies and procedures, clinical program descriptions, and relevant documentation.

• Assist with audits of behavioral health providers and home providers.

• Analyze behavioral health utilization data and track KPIs and utilization management metrics.

• Engage in corrective action plans and improvement initiatives.

• Support behavioral health home candidates in their preparation for NCQA Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) recognition.

• Ensure compliance with behavioral health home contracts and standards.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, or a related field in human services is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health, preferably within the public sector.

• Must possess one of the following licenses: Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).

• Must be licensed to practice in Washington state.

• Experience with Washington State Medicaid and/or the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) is strongly preferred.

• Experience in managed care is preferred.

• A Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, or a related field in human services is preferred.

• Preference will be given to candidates residing in Washington state.
