This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Generate and market new insurance accounts within designated territories.
• Analyze market trends and cultivate business opportunities to promote and sell insurance services.
• Maintain and support a profitable portfolio of insurance business for current clients.
• Meet annual revenue targets through a consultative sales approach.
• Broaden service offerings for existing clients.
• Exhibit thought leadership and industry involvement through associations and speaking engagements.
• Create an annual personal sales strategy with a 5X pipeline coverage ratio or a metric aligned with company goals.
• Establish an active pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, campaigns, colleagues, and marketing efforts.
• Record new business activities and won/lost opportunities in Relation’s sales tracking system.
• Develop and deliver client proposals utilizing a consultative selling methodology.
• Evaluate risk factors, client requirements, and challenging-to-insure exposures.
• Recommend and facilitate loss control and claims advocacy services.
• Transition sold clients to the designated client service/account management team.
• Foster strategic relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
• Relay market trends, competitor insights, and business intelligence to leadership.
• Execute other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
• A Property and Casualty Insurance License is mandatory and must be kept current.
• A college degree or at least 2 years of sales experience in the insurance sector is preferred.
• Experience with complex commercial coverage is essential.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance markets, products, and their applications.
• Familiarity with insurance rating and underwriting practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
