
Revenue Specialist I – Patient Outreach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Serve as a patient advocate while assisting them with updates to their primary insurance.
• Ensure the timely and accurate filing of insurance claims.
• Collect payments for any outstanding balances owed by patients.
• Carry out revenue operations tasks associated with medical insurance billing, collections, or patient access.
• Communicate effectively with patients and insurance payers about coverage and reimbursement for dialysis services.
• Review and submit requests for system setup to guarantee that center and payer information is accurately entered into the billing system.
• Respond promptly and accurately to communications from payers.
• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to facilitate smooth processes.
• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and changes.
• Maintain up-to-date information on patient accounts.
• Safeguard confidential company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA and DaVita policies.
• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training as required.
• Be available to work overtime as necessary.
• Experience in RCM/ROPS is required.
• Required experience in patient contact or customer service.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to adapt quickly and handle stress effectively.
• Skills in relationship-building.
• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
• Must possess ROPS revenue cycle management experience.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Ability to adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and departmental or company procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.
