Revenue Specialist I – Patient Outreach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Execute revenue operations tasks associated with medical insurance billing, collections, or patient access.

• Advocate on behalf of patients and assist in updating their primary insurance information.

• Accurately submit insurance claims in a timely manner and collect any outstanding patient balances.

• Engage with patients and insurance payers to verify coverage and guarantee reimbursement for dialysis services.

• Review and send system setup requests to ensure accurate loading of center and payer details into the billing system.

• Respond promptly and accurately to communications from payers.

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to ensure smooth processes.

• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and changes.

• Maintain up-to-date patient account information.

• Uphold the confidentiality of company and patient information.

• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions as required.

• Adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department/company procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in RCM/ROPS is required.

• Experience in patient contact or customer service is necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Basic computer skills are essential.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

• Must possess ROPS revenue cycle management experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities are required.

• Capability to adapt quickly and manage stress effectively.

• Skills in relationship-building and teamwork are essential.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

• Availability to work overtime as needed may be requested.
