Revenue Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance collections, credits, and determining patient insurance coverage.

• Process patient insurance details during the intake process.

• Collect payments for outstanding patient balances.

• Address credits for overpayments by payers and issue refunds accordingly.

• Liaise with insurance payers to ensure accurate patient coverage and timely reimbursement for dialysis services.

• Respond promptly and accurately to communications from payers.

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to ensure efficient processes.

• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and changes.

• Maintain up-to-date patient account information.

• Safeguard confidential company and patient information.

• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions as required.

• Adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and departmental or company procedures.

• No prior healthcare experience necessary.

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Capability to adjust quickly and demonstrate resilience.

• Motivation and initiative to manage an assigned queue or book of business.

• Understanding and alignment with the DaVita culture.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Competence in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Must uphold confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

• May need to work overtime as necessary.
