Revenue Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Manage the processing of patient insurance information during the patient intake procedure.

• Collect payments on overdue patient balances.

• Address credits when payer overpayments necessitate refunds.

• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance collections, credits, or establishing patient insurance coverage.

• Liaise with insurance payers to guarantee appropriate patient insurance coverage and ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for dialysis services.

• Respond to payer communications promptly and accurately.

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to facilitate seamless processes.

• Work alongside insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators to uphold timely and accurate insurance information.

• Identify potential process improvements and opportunities for continuous enhancement.

• Keep patient account information up to date.

• Ensure confidentiality of company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA and DaVita policies.

• Participate in meetings, phone conferences, and training as necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Previous healthcare experience is not required.

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate resilience.

• Motivation and initiative to manage an assigned queue/book of business.

• Capability to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

• Willingness to work overtime as required.

• Availability to attend team meetings, phone conferences, and necessary training sessions.

• Ability to adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and departmental or company procedures.
