Revenue Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Process patient insurance details as part of the patient intake procedure.

• Ensure the prompt and accurate submission of insurance claims.

• Collect payments on outstanding patient balances.

• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance billing, collections, or patient access.

• Communicate with insurance payers about coverage and reimbursement for dialysis services.

• Review and submit requests for system setup pertaining to center and payer information.

• Respond to communications from payers.

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to enhance processes.

• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and changes.

• Maintain up-to-date patient account information.

• Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions.

• Adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and departmental or company procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience in Healthcare Credits or Revenue Cycle Management.

• Familiarity or experience with various healthcare insurance payers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to adapt promptly and handle stress effectively.

• Skills in building relationships.

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.
