Revenue Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Process patient insurance details during the patient intake phase

• Collect payments for outstanding patient balances

• Address credits for payer overpayments and issue refunds accordingly

• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance collections, credits, or establishing patient insurance coverage

• Liaise with insurance payers to guarantee proper coverage and ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for dialysis services

• Handle communications from payers

• Collaborate with revenue operations teams

• Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and continuous improvement

• Keep current patient account information up to date

• Uphold the confidentiality of company and patient information

• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions

• Be available for overtime as required

• Adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures

• High school diploma or its equivalent

• Basic computer proficiency

• Competency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Capacity to adapt swiftly and exhibit resilience

• Initiative and drive to manage a portfolio and navigate through assigned queues

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies

• Experience in revenue cycle health insurance claims is preferred
