Revenue Manager – Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of revenue accounting

• Take ownership of month-end and year-end closing activities related to revenue recognition

• Ensure that revenue-related accounting and reporting are precise, timely, and compliant with U.S. GAAP

• Reconcile significant revenue accounts, address discrepancies, and drive resolutions to issues

• Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, accompanied by supporting analysis and documentation

• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller and CFO regarding revenue recognition policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Work alongside Shared Services General Accounting to maintain consistent coding and accurate journal entry activities

• Assist in the integration of acquisitions into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system, validating revenue accounts, deferred/unbilled revenue, and project setups

• Conduct technical accounting reviews of intricate revenue contracts and transactions in accordance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP

• Evaluate standard and non-standard sales contracts, identifying various performance obligations and ensuring appropriate revenue recognition

• Partner with Sales, Operations, Delivery, and Legal teams to enhance revenue operations from contract initiation to cash collection

• Lead the automation and improvement of revenue accounting processes and systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting and financial management

• Experience in the enterprise software and/or SaaS industry

• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 principles and U.S. GAAP

• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Proficiency in large ERP systems

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Skillful in managing workload efficiently and thriving in a fast-paced environment

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
