This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Reconcile and record all incoming payments.
• Identify inconsistencies and analyze issues to ensure prompt payment posting.
• Oversee inventory and ensure system alignment between Cotiviti and its clients.
• Reconcile data across various sources.
• Record payments to collection accounts and reconcile them with posted bank transactions.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable department to issue refunds as necessary.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements with the cash posting database.
• Post adjustment transactions to collection and client systems.
• Execute cash application functions in line with corporate and client standards.
• Access and comprehend online systems to identify how claims were settled and accurately apply payments and adjustments.
• Assist in determining the adjudication process for refunds.
• Prepare and document financial transactions for assigned accounts.
• Ensure daily deposit reconciliation and maintain both daily and monthly audit reports.
• Reconcile daily deposit totals while reviewing and correcting discrepancies.
• Balance and reconcile bank deposits, communicating with both internal and external customers.
• Research and allocate payments that lack obvious invoice numbers or dates of service.
• Identify the correct claim for payments using valid patient and date-of-service data.
• Stay informed about compliance and recovery laws concerning processing and recoupment to ensure adherence to state regulations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or three (3) years of experience in Accounting/Finance is required.
• Strong preference for knowledge of healthcare claims.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards is necessary.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain a secure and dedicated work area.
• Must provide high-speed internet access/connectivity along with an appropriate office setup and maintenance.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, frequently standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Must be capable of performing repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
