Revenue Cycle Optimization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Evaluate current revenue cycle systems, mainly Epic EHR, to discover opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.

• Improve revenue cycle systems utilizing tools, workflows, processes, structures, and industry best practices.

• Collect and analyze data for investigative purposes, process enhancement, and system optimization.

• Identify strategies for change management and promote their adoption.

• Collaborate with Information Services team members and improvement project groups.

• Lead teams focused on process improvement with expertise in revenue cycle workflows and system design.

• Clarify requirements, prioritize requests, and recommend technological designs and workflow strategies.

• Implement changes and modifications to revenue cycle and operational technology.

• Manage multiple priorities and requests efficiently.

• Support end-user acceptance testing for revenue cycle applications.

• Facilitate prioritization meetings.

• Identify practical solutions, both electronic and non-electronic, to address system issues.

• Communicate updates and enhancements related to the Revenue Cycle system.

• Provide consultative services for workflow and technology solutions.

• Address user inquiries and issues concerning functionality, operations, reporting, and procedures.

• Map out revenue cycle processes to pinpoint existing workflows and identify bottlenecks.

• Convert operational requirements into technical designs and process enhancements.

• Lead or engage in goal deployment and project initiatives.

• Facilitate demand management, ensure alignment of priorities, track progress, escalate issues, and create decision documentation.

• Assist with the implementation of third-party Revenue Cycle vendors.

• Organize targeted improvement events and ensure deliverables are completed.

• Meet deadlines, manage responsibilities, and oversee and summarize multiple projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Required).

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing, coding, claims, and reimbursement.

• Expertise in health informatics and data analytics.

• Proficient in Epic EHR.

• Proficient in Excel and business informatics platforms.

• Understanding of the integration of clinical and financial data.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including HIPAA and CMS.

• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.

• Familiarity with project management and system optimization.

• Ability to work from Ohio.

• Ability to work day shifts, with a total of 40 scheduled hours per week.
