This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide high-level oversight and strategic guidance for comprehensive revenue cycle operations, which encompass patient access, coding, billing, denials, and collections.
• Analyze AI-generated assessments of revenue cycle performance, strategic suggestions, and operational enhancement plans for precision and practicality.
• Evaluate AI technologies aimed at automating revenue cycle processes, pinpointing revenue loss, and maximizing payer reimbursement.
• Establish and track enterprise revenue cycle key performance indicators (KPIs), such as net collection rate, days in accounts receivable, denial rate, cost-to-collect, and cash collection performance.
• Formulate and execute strategies for revenue cycle improvement that align with the financial objectives of the organization.
• Supervise the managed care contracting strategy and the management of payer relationships.
• Work in collaboration with clinical, finance, compliance, and IT leaders to align revenue cycle initiatives with the organization's goals.
• Deliver presentations on revenue cycle performance to executive leadership, boards, and investors.
• Annotate AI outputs and provide structured strategic feedback to enhance AI training datasets.
• Contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge AI systems in the healthcare sector.
• Collaborate with a prestigious AI research organization.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management, with a minimum of 5 years in a VP, Senior Director, or comparable executive position.
• Extensive understanding of complete revenue cycle operations, covering front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end functions.
• Strong financial expertise, including experience in managing profit and loss (P&L), budget oversight, and financial performance reporting.
• Proven history of leading large-scale revenue cycle transformation projects within health systems, hospitals, or physician group settings.
• In-depth knowledge of managed care contracting, payer relationships, and reimbursement optimization.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, including proficiency in executive-level presentations.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Skill in synthesizing intricate revenue cycle performance data and AI-generated insights into strategic recommendations.
• Preferred certifications include HFMA Fellow (FHFMA), CHFP, or CRCR.
• Experience with revenue cycle management technology platforms and large-scale electronic health record (EHR) implementations is preferred.
• Background in private equity-backed healthcare organizations, health systems, or large physician enterprise environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools and comfort in evaluating AI-generated content related to revenue cycle strategies is preferred.
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-entity revenue cycle consolidation or integration initiatives is preferred.
