This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and seek out retrofit, upgrade, expansion, replacement, and aftermarket opportunities within installed equipment and target accounts.
• Generate new business through methods such as prospecting, networking, attending industry events, obtaining referrals, and conducting market analysis.
• Build and sustain the sales pipeline while forecasting sales activities and bookings.
• Lead the sales process from identifying opportunities to developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing orders.
• Develop and nurture relationships with current customers and their stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to outline project scope, technical requirements, and solution strategies.
• Conduct visits to customers to assess equipment performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Advise clients on emissions compliance, operational challenges, equipment reliability, and process optimization.
• Evaluate air pollution control systems and propose technical solutions.
• Prepare and present technical presentations, proposals, and return-on-investment analyses.
• Review customer specifications, process data, and operational conditions to devise retrofit solutions.
• Take part in site evaluations, performance assessments, and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate with estimating, engineering, procurement, and project management teams on proposals.
• Assist in project risk assessments, contract reviews, and defining project scope.
• Support project kickoff and customer handoff processes.
• Monitor project progress and maintain communication with customers.
• Track technologies, competitive offerings, industry trends, and environmental regulations.
• Identify markets with significant retrofit and upgrade potential.
• Provide market intelligence and customer insights to leadership and product development teams.
• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
• Maintain CRM records, track opportunities, and manage forecasts.
• Prepare monthly sales reports, updates on the sales pipeline, and business development plans.
• Manage sales activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of industrial sales experience, ideally in air pollution control, environmental equipment, process industries, or similar technical markets.
• Proven success in selling retrofits, upgrades, aftermarket services, replacement equipment, and modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and environmental compliance standards.
• Experience in developing technical proposals and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international sites, typically 20–30% of the time.
• Strong skills in relationship-building and customer engagement.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced and technically complex environment.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Willingness to learn and openness to training opportunities.
• PMP, EIT, or PE certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP is preferred.
• Experience with air quality control technologies such as ESPs, BHF, and scrubbers is preferred.
