This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for annual reporting preparation.
• Assess client-submitted documents for thoroughness and precision.
• Reconcile plans that only involve rollovers and plan stock utilizing Excel and administrative software.
• Employ administrative software to execute 401(k) testing and reporting tasks.
• Make proactive reminder calls and dispatch emails to clients throughout the plan-year reporting process.
• Generate necessary 401(k) government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Provide clients with education on 401(k) plan administration and relevant plan documents.
• Convey information and clarify complex subjects in an easily understandable manner.
• Conduct training on concepts for a Retirement Plan Administrator I role.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
• Demonstrated experience in document review and transaction processing as part of daily responsibilities.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant back-office financial operations experience in areas such as benefits administration, money movement and wires, insurance claims processing, tax preparation, loan or mortgage documentation, or compliance and quality-control support.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Preferred direct experience in retirement-plan operations, which includes 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions and rollovers, compliance testing, or 5500 or year-end reporting.
• Preferred experience with reconciliation as a daily job function.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business or finance, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
