This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Oversee the retail sales team in the areas of Agronomy, Energy, Animal Nutrition, and Grain product lines.
• Drive and facilitate the hiring process, onboarding, professional development, coaching, mentoring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Set and manage sales objectives that are in line with the overall business strategy.
• Identify and track KPIs related to growth, margin management, and employee performance.
• Analyze market competition, trends, and activities, sharing pertinent information with stakeholder teams.
• Foster and sustain relationships with industry and strategic community partners.
• Ensure that sales processes and service delivery are aligned and effective.
• Manage profit margins and implement corrective actions to meet budget and marketing goals.
• Align capacity and capabilities with sales forecasts to maintain an efficient and cost-effective supply chain.
• Generate and pursue sales leads to enhance market share.
• Leverage technology, data, and relationships to discover cross-selling and market-share expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on business strategy, objectives, and critical deliverables.
• Uphold a consistent corporate image across product lines, promotional content, service delivery, and events.
• Propel profitability enhancements and strategic go-to-market initiatives.
• Assess team skills and talents and aid in the development of individual and team growth plans.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Agronomy, Grain, Animal Nutrition, or Energy Sales.
• Previous leadership experience with increasingly responsible leadership roles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or an agriculture-related field.
• Experience in leading a sales team is essential.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or comparable CRM systems for managing customer relationships, sales opportunities, and business activities.
• Proficient in Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.
• Experience in presenting information and recommendations to both small and large groups, including customers, employee teams, and leadership.
• Ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders through presentations, meetings, and business reviews.
• Must successfully complete necessary pre-employment screenings, which may encompass drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.
