This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee a diverse caseload of residential property matters from the initial instruction stage through to completion and post-completion, which includes freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new-build transactions, and shared ownership issues.
• Offer clear, commercially astute, and practical legal guidance to clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various documents including contracts, reports on title, transfer documents, leases, deeds, enquiries, replies, and other residential property paperwork.
• Examine title documentation, property searches, leases, management information packs, planning documents, and responses to enquiries.
• Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, other solicitors, managing agents, developers, and the Land Registry.
• Oversee the exchange and completion processes, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions, lender requirements, undertakings, and post-completion responsibilities.
• Prepare and submit applications to HM Land Registry, address requisitions, and complete SDLT returns.
• Maintain precise matter records, provide regular updates to clients, and manage files in accordance with firm procedures and service standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff remotely, contributing to team processes, precedents, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• Around 5 years of post-qualification experience in residential property or conveyancing.
• Strong hands-on experience managing a diverse residential conveyancing caseload.
• Familiarity with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new-build transactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of residential property law, conveyancing procedures, Land Registry requirements, leasehold matters, and SDLT processes.
• Exceptional skills in legal drafting, analysis, and negotiation.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Client-focused mindset with effective and professional communication.
• Ability to manage client expectations and deliver a responsive service throughout transactions.
