Resident Network Engineer – TS/SCI Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical operational assistance for extensive service provider network environments.

• Diagnose intricate routing, switching, hardware, software, and network performance challenges.

• Facilitate network operations, maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and significant modifications.

• Examine network problems, determine root causes, and devise effective corrective measures.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and technical stakeholders to address escalated issues.

• Support network architecture, implementation, and best practices for operation.

• Create and sustain network automation solutions to enhance consistency, efficiency, and reliability.

• Employ scripting and DevOps practices to automate network configuration, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Incorporate automation into current network operational workflows.

• Produce technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting manuals.

• Engage in technical discussions and convey complex networking concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance network reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active TS / SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is MANDATORY for this position.

• Must reside in and be legally permitted to work in the United States.

• Significant hands-on experience with service provider routing and switching.

• Background in supporting large-scale production network environments.

• Robust troubleshooting and operational support expertise.

• Familiarity with network automation and DevOps practices.

• Scripting/programming skills utilized for automating network operations.

• Capability to develop practical automation solutions that align with existing operational processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of routing, switching, IP networking, and service provider technologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Comfortable in high-pressure production and escalation situations.
