This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Deliver Level 2 technical support for enterprise and data center network infrastructure.

• Identify and rectify network incidents, connectivity challenges, and service requests.

• Diagnose issues related to routing, switching, firewalls, and general network functionality.

• Oversee network infrastructure and react to alerts and events that impact service.

• Execute authorized network configurations, modifications, upgrades, and hardware replacements.

• Engage in systematic troubleshooting and escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 3 engineering teams.

• Assist in incident, problem, and change-management processes.

• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional infrastructure teams to address network problems.

• Keep precise network documentation, configuration logs, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Take part in network upkeep, service recovery, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Ensure all tasks comply with established security, operational, and change-management protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited college or university with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of routing, switching, server operating systems, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Acquainted with content delivery networks and internet peering methodologies.

• Understanding of server hardware technologies in relation to content delivery efficiency and capacity.

• Industry-recognized networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, Arista ACE, or equivalent (preferred).

• Experience in supporting data center, enterprise, or 24×7 network operations settings (preferred).

• Familiarity with network automation or scripting (preferred).

• Capability to perform office-related tasks, including extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Ability to navigate within an office environment.

• Proficiency in using a computer.

• Strong communication skills.
