Research Director – Cancer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead research initiatives on intricate cancer cases

• Review client medical documentation and clinical histories

• Identify and assess diagnostic and treatment alternatives, including clinical trials and innovative evidence-based therapies globally

• Develop and prioritize treatment plans utilizing medical literature and insights from leading experts

• Engage in client discussions alongside clinicians to convey research outcomes and facilitate shared decision-making

• Analyze patient records, encompassing lab results, symptoms, medication histories, and clinical outcomes

• Review and evaluate medical literature; summarize articles and compare findings from clinical studies

• Interpret molecular diagnostics and laboratory tests to aid patient care decisions

• Research and prioritize standard-of-care, guideline-based, and investigational treatment options

• Identify and establish connections with key opinion leaders and subject-matter experts

• Identify and assess clinical trials using spreadsheets, databases, supporting evidence, and trial-site communications

• Create educational materials for patients, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in a scientific or healthcare discipline is mandatory

• Early to mid-career professional experience in oncology, encompassing research, clinical, or translational work across any cancer type

• Familiarity with research best practices

• Proficient medical literature research skills, including PubMed and Google Scholar

• Outstanding interpersonal abilities

• Strong service orientation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Capability to make swift decisions in the face of ambiguity and tight deadlines

• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with peers, colleagues, and external experts

• Must reside in and conduct all work physically within the United States
