This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the vision and strategy for Prevail's Research function.
• Set priorities across various research workstreams and enhance assessment frameworks.
• Develop comparable metrics across sectors while learning from peer organizations and global experts.
• Lead and cultivate the Research team, focusing on team structure, operations, researcher support, recruitment, and scaling systems.
• Propel Prevail's strategy for evaluating new philanthropic opportunities.
• Create and manage intricate quantitative and qualitative models, including cost-effectiveness models, reach and fund-sizing estimates, and durability syntheses.
• Identify, assess, and evaluate high-impact interventions through desk reviews, expert interviews, quantitative modeling, and potential in-person visits.
• Synthesize and convert evidence into presentations, investment memos, interactive models, and visual representations.
• Address operational and programmatic inquiries with evidence-based, innovative solutions.
• Generate actionable recommendations for philanthropic programs across the Education Fund, New Initiatives pipeline, and future funds.
• Over 9 years of experience in research to support decision-making.
• More than 4 years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing other researchers.
• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-workstream research agendas.
• Experience in implementing organizations in global development is a significant asset, though not mandatory.
• Capability to conduct goal-oriented research and structure effective analytical paths.
• Proficiency in tracking and clearly outlining how key conclusions were derived.
• Ability to communicate analytical uncertainties and strategies for addressing them.
• Skill in integrating quantitative and qualitative data from various fields, including econometrics and political science.
• Expertise in synthesizing complex concepts into clear frameworks, models, and recommendations.
• Ability to create outputs that engage diverse audiences.
• Competence in conveying complex ideas clearly to donors, implementers, and academics.
• Comfort in asserting conclusions in the presence of senior decision-makers.
• Must reside within a timezone ranging from -6 UTC (US Central Time) to +3 UTC (East Africa Time).
• Prevail typically cannot sponsor visas.

• Flexibility: Work remotely from any location within a timezone between -6 UTC (US Central Time) and +3 UTC (EAT), with opportunities to travel and meet with the team 3-4 times a year.
