This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain systems for tracking and managing social science research.
• Organize regular team and project meetings, provide updates on progress, identify challenges, and seek team feedback.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, internal and external partners, and project participants.
• Monitor research compliance trainings and certifications, including renewals.
• Oversee IRB applications, including renewals.
• Aid in the creation and maintenance of project charters.
• Align and monitor project objectives, scope, and deliverables within project management systems.
• Convert project plans into timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Keep project documentation, status reports, and meeting summaries up to date.
• Produce periodic project reports for team leadership, emphasizing progress, issues, and recommendations.
• Assist in data management processes and systems.
• Support budget planning and tracking, oversee expenses, and identify potential cost-saving measures.
• Arrange compensation for research participants.
• Help with the processing of vendor invoices.
• Contribute to the planning of research convenings organized by IREE.
• Coordinate vendors, rentals, and meals for participants and partners.
• Monitor conference and publication deadlines and submissions.
• Assist with grant writing and grant administration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Understanding of the ethical and practical requirements for applied social science research, particularly concerning human subjects data.
• Strong organizational skills complemented by an appreciation for the human needs of colleagues and collaborators.
• Capability to independently identify project needs, set objectives, plan, and execute tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on collegial and professional communication.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects steadily while keeping sight of each project's broader goals and the organizational mission.
• Bachelor's degree and/or a demonstrated interest in social science, including education research and learning sciences, as well as the processes involved in conducting and administering social science research.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or research.
• Experience or a demonstrated interest in project management.
• Willingness to travel to conferences, team meetings, and research convenings as needed.
