This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead tailored account experiences for key accounts and Health Care Providers.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers.
• Establish meaningful connections with customers and identify shared objectives.
• Connect customers with Novartis resources to enhance patient outcomes.
• Balance demand generation with strategic engagement of accounts.
• Address and resolve account challenges with customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that align with shared priorities.
• Promote product demand and contribute to improved patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and colleagues from the home office.
• Utilize market, competitive landscape, and cross-functional insights to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
• Leverage territory data and market trends to reveal local insights and assist in pull-through efforts.
• Conduct impactful virtual and in-person customer interactions.
• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support and work with Patient Specialty Services.
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor outreach in both virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the last 5 years; candidates from medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors are also encouraged to apply.
• Associate level: recently transitioned from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership role, or limited prior sales experience.
• Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years of experience in a relevant sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
• Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years of experience in a relevant sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
• Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years of experience in a relevant sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
• Proven history of consistent high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Analytical skills to seek, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to resolve customer issues.
• Ethical leadership and capability to advocate for ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geography by driving and/or flying within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Desirable: experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches.
• Desirable: knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.
• Must successfully complete initial training, which includes home study of up to 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
