Reload and Core Management Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Utilize analytical techniques, methods, and procedures to tackle intricate challenges.

• Conduct analysis and design calculations that support the operation of reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management.

• Prepare and deliver technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Document and convey the outcomes of technical data generated.

• Maintain or surpass the baseline project schedule and budget for nuclear fuel reload engineering outputs.

• Foster information sharing and encourage open communication within a matrixed team setting.

• Ensure that all work complies with NRC regulations, customer specifications, and business quality assurance standards.

• Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and engage with customer technical teams.

• Oversee reload projects throughout the Fuels organization.

• Participate in ongoing professional development.

• Deliver BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management solutions, along with customer-facing materials, collaboration, and training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another scientific discipline from an accredited institution.

• Familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology.

• Experience using BWR core simulators and 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes.

• Proficiency in programming with Python or C#.

• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers are contingent upon the ability to secure authorization from the U.S. Government.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
