This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Utilize analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to address intricate issues.
β’ Conduct analysis and design calculations that support the operation of reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management.
β’ Prepare and deliver technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Document and share the outcomes of technical data analysis.
β’ Maintain or surpass established project schedules and budget constraints for nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables.
β’ Foster information sharing and encourage open communication within a matrixed team setting.
β’ Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, customer specifications, and business quality assurance standards.
β’ Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and engage with customer technical staff.
β’ Oversee reload projects throughout the Fuels organization.
β’ Participate in ongoing professional development.
β’ Contribute to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management.
β’ Provide licensing and design solutions that meet customer needs, business protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
β’ Work together with and educate utility customers.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field such as engineering or physics from an accredited institution.
β’ Authorization from the U.S. Government is necessary for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable.
β’ Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
β’ Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.
β’ A Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering is preferred.
β’ Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology is advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with BWR core simulator and 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes is desirable.
β’ Programming skills in Python or C# are preferred.
β’ Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability for outcomes is preferred.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities are desired.
β’ Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred.
