This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Provide reliability engineering assistance for the operation and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment assets.
• Execute strategic asset management plans that incorporate building automation, energy management, maintenance programs, and lifecycle asset management.
• Create methods for reliability analysis pertaining to components, equipment, and processes.
• Gather and evaluate data from connected systems to enhance maintenance program strategies.
• Perform maintenance maturity assessments, program audits, and system/equipment audits.
• Supervise root cause failure analyses and establish corrective actions.
• Merge BAS, automated fault detection and diagnostics, maintenance programs, and capital planning data for lifecycle analyses and recommendations on repair versus replacement.
• Assist site-level Asset Management & Reliability programs and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate the efforts of engineers, technicians, and third-party resources.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance tasks while optimizing PM/PdM programs.
• Assess asset criticality and outline cost-effective proactive maintenance strategies.
• Conduct reliability studies and formulate risk mitigation strategies for essential assets.
• Explore technologies aimed at improving reliability.
• Facilitate investigations into operational events and equipment failures, followed by monitoring outcomes.
• Plan and execute engineering operations, supervise operations center systems, and perform equipment condition assessments.
• Maintain records of CMMS equipment, including specifications, bills of materials, and failure histories.
• Establish equipment reliability KPIs and maintenance/reliability metrics.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Planning teams.
• Carry out multidisciplinary facility condition assessments across labs, manufacturing sites, offices, and distribution locations in the Americas.
• Inspect, document, and prioritize asset and field conditions while reporting on remaining useful life.
• Compile findings across the portfolio for client capital planning and lifecycle asset management.
• Assist with commissioning for upgrade, renovation, and construction projects.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical.
• Five to ten years of experience in implementing RCM, CbM/PdM methodologies, operating building automation and energy management systems, along with knowledge of asset management, data analytics, and capital planning strategies.
• Familiarity with building automation systems and automated fault detection & diagnostics, along with integration of connected systems.
• Experience in critical/regulated environments is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
• Extensive understanding of commercial, critical, manufacturing, laboratory, or distribution facility types.
• Proficient in using various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and IT tools.
• Capable of reading, comprehending, and applying information from technical manuals and reference materials.
• Ability to make informed recommendations even with incomplete data sets.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, with the capability to accurately manipulate large data sets across different spreadsheet formats.
• Certified Reliability Leader certification is preferred.
• Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional certification is preferred.
• Level 2 thermography certification is preferred.
• Level 2 vibration certification is preferred.
• Level 2 ultrasound certification is preferred.
