Delivery DevOps Agile Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate essential Agile ceremonies, such as sprints, standups, and retrospectives, while addressing both technical and organizational obstacles.

• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering leadership to optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and enhance release cycles.

• Monitor and enhance delivery metrics, including velocity, lead time, deployment frequency, and MTTR.

• Evaluate and adjust team structures, Agile methodologies, and delivery operating models to minimize costs while boosting efficiency and accountability.

• Utilize hands-on development and SDLC expertise to assess delivery estimates, pinpoint coding inefficiencies, and enhance technical execution.

• Align backlog priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery expectations with various internal departments and stakeholders.

• Enhance workflow transparency through Agile tools, reporting, dashboards, and team information radiators.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, enhance cycle time, increase deployment reliability, and facilitate predictable delivery.

• Assist with release planning, dependency management, delivery readiness, and incident learning activities.

• Create PowerPoint presentations, status reports, delivery summaries, and updates for leadership.

• Advocate for Agile, DevOps, and SDLC best practices.

• Utilize approved AI tools to refine delivery planning, reporting, workflow analysis, and team efficiency while safeguarding confidential, proprietary, and regulated information.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning and execution, backlog refinement, estimation techniques, retrospectives, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps, cloud-based delivery environments, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release management, deployment practices, site reliability principles, and operational support processes.

• Advanced proficiency in software development, coding practices, system design, and software engineering principles.

• Expert understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Strong capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, product, architecture, and DevOps.

• Ability to evaluate, redesign, and optimize team structures, Agile operating models, workflows, and delivery practices.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills based on delivery, engineering, and operational metrics.

• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and related tools.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled technologies, responsible AI practices, data protection, output validation, and governance standards.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading Agile delivery, Scrum, delivery management, or technology execution.

• At least 3 years of experience collaborating with engineering teams utilizing modern SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, release practices, automated testing, or DevOps delivery models.

• Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, addressing blockers, enhancing delivery metrics, and promoting continuous improvement.

• Experience in reviewing or challenging technical estimates, delivery assumptions, team capacity, or engineering execution plans.

• Experience in preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, or updates for leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Practical experience leading Agile delivery in DevOps/Cloud environments.

• Expertise in Jira/Confluence.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the US.

• CSM or SAFe certification preferred.

• PSM, PMI-ACP, or comparable Agile certification.

• Training or certification in DevOps, cloud platforms, software delivery, product delivery, or release management.

• Advanced training in Agile, facilitation, coaching, or delivery leadership.
