DevOps Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of DevOps engineers, including task delegation, monitoring progress, and performing reviews.

• Provide mentorship to team members, conduct individual sessions, and create personalized development plans.

• Enhance and establish effective Agile, Kanban, and Scrum workflows.

• Organize and manage the rotation for monitoring critical infrastructure alerts.

• Design and execute the DevOps methodology, GitOps strategy, and infrastructure roadmap.

• Collaborate with Development, QA, Project Managers, and other key stakeholders.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications.

• Administer infrastructure and configurations using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.

• Write Dockerfiles, create images, and orchestrate containers with Docker and Docker Compose.

• Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Ensure the reliability, fault tolerance, security, and compliance with SLA/SLO of the infrastructure.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Senior DevOps role with mentoring duties, leading a team of 3 or more engineers.

• At least 7 years of overall experience in DevOps.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, Route 53, ELB/ALB, EKS, ECS, ECR, S3, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Systems Manager.

• Familiarity with networking concepts including routing, VLANs, and VPNs.

• Proven track record in building and supporting intricate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

• Strong expertise in Terraform; experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.

• In-depth understanding of Docker architecture, deployment processes, and administration.

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki/ELK monitoring stacks.

• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Excellent communication skills, systems thinking, and a proactive approach.

• Must be located in a time zone between UTC+1 and UTC+4.

• AWS certifications, experience with DevSecOps, hybrid-cloud Kubernetes, Azure/GCP, Microsoft services, and SOC2/ISO 27001/HIPAA are beneficial but not required.
