DevOps Engineer, Java, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Promote the utilization of development services, encompassing Performance Engineering, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and teamwork across delivery teams.

• Create and execute effective CI/CD workflows that facilitate the transition of code from development to production, ensuring high quality with minimal manual intervention.

• Partner with development, operations, and product teams to identify priorities and cultivate stakeholder relationships.

• Design, evaluate, and troubleshoot extensive distributed systems.

• Diagnose and enhance code performance.

• Automate repetitive tasks and broaden automation capabilities.

• Navigate challenging situations and make critical decisions with a strong sense of urgency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving programming (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.

• Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Groovy, and Chef.

• Extensive hands-on experience in cloud-based architecture, ideally with Azure and PCF.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Java, J2EE, WebServices (SOAP/REST), Spring/Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.

• Experience in an Agile Development Environment.

• Experience collaborating with development, operations, and product teams.

• Familiarity with monitoring and containerization tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants.

• Proficient in oral English.

• Proficient in Spanish.

• Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with excellent communication skills.
