This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess and recommend power generation architectures tailored to specific applications
• Conduct studies and simulations to verify system performance and response
• Create and sustain BlockSIM reliability models for intricate integrated power solutions
• Oversee equipment coordination modeling for power generation assets within the operational perimeter
• Convert customer expectations regarding availability, MTBF, and SLAs into electrical configuration and protective relaying specifications
• Assist in meeting equipment LCOE and operational reliability criteria
• Transform customer reliability objectives into engineering design inputs for standard reference architectures
• Execute reliability-centered simulations to mitigate integration risks
• Establish onsite generation reports and collect data for customer meetings and final report submissions
• Act as the business unit coordinator for ongoing customer projects and proposals
• Direct cross-functional coordination studies and requirements testing throughout the power system
• Collaborate with Consulting Services and GE Vernova engineering, sales, and product development teams
• Analyze power generation reliability metrics and EPC project integration studies to guide system design and enhancement
• Develop and implement standardized reference architectures for customer projects
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in engineering, project or plant reliability, or a related field
• Over 5 years of experience in engineering or technical consulting, including at least 2 years leading teams to provide high-value technical or strategic solutions
• More than 5 years of experience in developing and delivering technical presentations, with at least 3 years of direct engagement with internal or external C-suite/executive leadership
• At least 5 years managing complex engineering or policy initiatives, with a proven track record of delivering at least 3 major projects on schedule and within budget
• Over 5 years of experience analyzing or navigating governmental structures, global energy policies, and power market dynamics, with the ability to evaluate macroeconomic impacts of regulatory changes
• More than 5 years of experience with inside-the-fence power generation technologies, including gas generators, BESS, STATCOMs, HV/LV electrical gear, and fuel cell technologies
• At least 3 years of experience conducting formal reliability studies, such as FMECA, RCA, FTA, and RAM analysis
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using BlockSIM for reliability modeling
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of the time
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• An advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, or power systems engineering is preferred
• Experience with MAPS or MARS is advantageous
• Desired experience with prime-power or continuous-duty data center generation assets
• Understanding of electrical selectivity, protective relay coordination, and PLC/SCADA systems is preferred
• Familiarity with technical regulatory standards, grid code compliance evaluation, testing and reporting, Data Center Tier Classification standards, and IEEE/ANSI electrical standards is preferred
